None-the-less they are both sirens of what may come if we don't heed their message.  Hirsi-Ali, in particular, being non-western by birth, amazes in that her knowledge of both Western Civilizational and non-Western Muslim mindsets, have much to teach us.

What I find amazing is the "before" and "after" ratings. There must have been a lot of people in the audience who knew very little about Islam before they listened.

41% "for" the motion before hand, 36% after.

25% "against" before hand, and it looks like many of those "for" went over to "against" after as it then stood at 55% "against".

34% were "undecided" before the debate, but only 9% were still "undecided" after the debate. It also looks like most of those "undecideds" went to "against" the motion, once the debate was finished.

The Skewering of CBC

I posted this more than a month ago, and I'm still getting hits - daily - from all over North America on that particular entry. It must be making the rounds. Either everybody loves to see Ayaan Hirsi Ali skewer a leftie or everybody loves seeing the CBC get its ass handed to it on a platter. Either way, as Martha Stewart would say, that's good thing.

I'd love to know who has been a participant on the chain of links.

Here's a forty-five minute segment of Q, a CBC radio program hosted by Jian Ghomeshi, a Muslim by birth, a Canadian by birth, an Iranian by ancestry. He's as quintessentially Canadian as they come.

Perhaps the most influential force in his life, as evidenced by his radio and TV roles, may be the Torontonians' uber-liberal apologist mindset that makes him a natural for the CBC.

As usual, Hirsi Ali is brilliant and handles his asinine questions with finesse. Around the 40 minute mark I'd be more inclined to loose my cool and start shouting at him, if I hadn't done already, but Hirsi Ali adeptly, calmly skewers him.

Ghomeshi gives us a peek into the cultural relativist's mindset.  It illustrates the left's existential panic. To think that a member of one of those specially designated victim groups, so carefully indoctrinated, so meticulously groomed, would actually begin to speak for herself, and when she speaks it is the language of the right she uses.  I mean, she works for The American Enterprise Institute!  OH THE STARK RAVING HORRORS!!!!

Really, its funny.  She gets away with saying things that the left can barely utter without choking and blushing; things which, when the right puts them out there for public debate, are roundly and hysterically expunged from the lexicon.

Worst part of it, Ghomeshi is one of the milder of the CBC multi-culti lapdogs. Listen to it.

But There is No Bias at the CBC, You Know

Avi Lewis (in the first video) is no longer with the CBC.  He left shortly after the broadcast of his interview with Hirsi Ali. One has to wonder whether the CBC received so many complaints about his prissy little rant that they had to push him out to save face.

On the other hand, Jian Ghomeshi (host in the second interview), is still with the CBC.  He's no doubt one of their trophies, being a person of colour with Muslim ancestry and all. Although he is lightyears to the right by comparison to Lewis, he is still a lefty and his questions reveal the political correctness, multi-culti relativism that permeates our oh so unbiased tax funded national broadcaster. These two, ladies and gentlemen, epitomize why so many of us have stopped watching and listening to CBC. They personify the core of Mother Corpse's corporate culture - all left, all the time. The only difference is the degree. Lewis was at the extreme. Ghomeshi, some what less extreme, but still leftists to the core.

If the theory that says sexual repression in males produces violence is true, this surely explains a lot about the 60,000  to 70,000 murders of innocent people committed the world over by Islamic fundamentalists since 9/11. A pox on the Toronto Star and on all "progressives" who make excuses for this.
