He, he, he, he, he

Checking sitemeter this morning, I see someone from the UK landed on my blog using the search terms "rednecks commit honor killings". Good luck with that research, pal. It's gonna be a long, hard search.

It's Not Too Late...

...Amar, ...

The civilized world is still waiting for more leadership from reform minded Muslims. Maybe that leader's name is Amar Wahid. You can atone for your failure to stand up to the Shafia's by standing up to radical Islamists.  Let's see a Million Man March of Muslim men, but without the race hucksterism.

Question

Does anyone know how Papa Shafia acquired his wealth? Getting an answer to that seems like a worthwhile pursuit for some enterprizing journalist, does it not? Since he's Afghan by origin, my hunch is perhaps via the heroin trade.

No doubt they (the journalists) are too busy with their chiropractors now, though. One has to bend over backwards to come up with excuses:

Murder is Murder

Does it really matter?

But I am in favour of the death penalty for certain classes of murder: honour killings, child killers and serial killers especially.

The death penalty was eliminated in Canada before DNA evidence was extractable. Thanks to DNA evidence, in many cases there is now absolute certainty about the accused. Failing that, can we at least put these perps in jail for real life, like, until they, you know, actually die? But why not save some money and prison spaces for those who are not outright bat shit incurably crazy or bound by retrograde cultural beliefs and actually capable of reforming themselves.  My hunch is that honour killings would stop immediately if the men in the family knew their own death was certain to follow.  Perhaps it could be done by strangling. And the women who stand by and let their husbands and sons murder their female relatives could fill up some of those freed spaces - for life.

How Ironic!

One of Canada's oldest and most widely distributed daily newspapers publishes an article by Margaret Wente on the murder of Aqsa Parvez, in which she raises the need for a debate on our immigration policy, specifically, allowing backward rubes from places like Pakistan that believe in honour killings into our country, after which the entire tribe follows them in.

So what does the Globe and Mail Flop and Fail do? They disable comments. Please, CRTC, give Sun TV a license.

The Toronto Star Outdoes Itself

Bending over backwards to protect it's multi-culti ideology, it says: "Cultural differences may have laid the groundwork for murder"

"May have"???
"But Aqsa’s death and the cultural context that surrounded it raised troubling questions: Was this the GTA’s first honour killing? Or was Parvez simply a domineering father, who feared losing control of his youngest daughter?

Experts say it’s a debate with no resolution."
So what's to resolve? Good grief!!

Hold your nose and RTWT.
