Score One For The Good Guys
Two dead in anti-terrorism raid in Belgium
Three dead in Belgium anti-terror raid: report
2 terror suspects dead, 1 in custody after Belgium raid
Putting aside that the media can't decide whether there were two or three killed, I would like to say "Well done!" and "About time!"
More counterterrorism raids reportedly underway in Belgium after police thwart 'Belgian Charlie Hebdo' attack

France sees 19,000 cyberattacks since terror rampage
Palestine plans to present new draft resolution to UN: Abbas
I figured something like this would happen. We'll see whether it will end any differently than so many, many attempts in the past.

Palestine plans to present new draft resolution to UN: Abbas
"Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas proposed on Thursday formation of a Kuwait-led Arab committee to study going back to the UN Security Council (UNSC) with a new draft resolution to end Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories.
Addressing an extraordinary meeting of Arab foreign ministers at the Arab League headquarters here in Cairo, Abbas voiced willingness to resume peace talks with Israel provided that they have a clear content and a specific strategy "so as not to be a waste of time.""

Wow!
Stunning admission from the Palestinian UN representative!! This is stunning both because it comes from a Palestinian and from the UN:
Palestinian UN rep: “Each and every missile launched against Israel constitutes a crime against humanity”
Is a sea change just around the corner?
Palestinian UN rep: “Each and every missile launched against Israel constitutes a crime against humanity”
"In an astonishing moment of candor, the Palestinian representative to the UN Human Rights Council — in explaining the high risk of Palestinians being indicted if the International Criminal Court acquires jurisdiction – has admitted that “each and every” Palestinian missile now being launched against Israeli civilian centers constitutes “a crime against humanity”; that, by contrast, Israel’s own response actions in Gaza “followed the legal procedures” because, as Hamas spokespersons admitted on TV, “the Israelis warned them to evacuate their homes before the bombardment; but, however, “as for the missiles launched from our side, we never warn anyone about where these missiles are about to fall or about the operations we carry out.”"
Is a sea change just around the corner?

Ironic, Ain't It
Those evil Jews try to save conjoined Palestinian babies, and what do they get for their trouble?
How much do you wanna bet when those babies are older they will be considered expendable freaks and have some suicide belt attached to them before they are sent into an Israeli settlement.

"It's The JOOOZ"
With the recent flair-up between Hamas and Israel, and the UN recognition of Mahmoud Abbas and Palestine, whatever it means (it's not full nationhood), the creepy crawlies have come out from under the rocks and are posting comments on Sun News Network's website. I am both amazed and amused at how shallow, in terms of time, at the very least, their knowledge of this conflict seems to be.
Soooo, I turn to a website called the Jewish Virtual Library and other sources, all of which are more balanced, and which show the very long history of terror and Jew hatred in that area of the world. Information, therein, on Palestinian violence, goes back at least to 1956. One could easily extend that with references to the Ottoman Empire, the Balfour Declaration, the Sykes-Pecot Agreement, the British Palestine Mandate and the establishment of the Muslim Brotherhood, among countless other critical and relevant events in history, which the Jewish Virtual Library also does a good job of covering. And why shouldn't they? There is so much disinformation out there and, sad to say, anti-Semitism is on the rise again. And the number of "plans" put forward for peace between the Arabs and Israel is astonishing. All of them have failed.
The use of terror, of course, is not unique to the Arab-Israeli conflict. But Palestinian terror is certainly very long-lived and its practitioners are seemingly not the least bit interested in any sort of settlement, as other terror groups have been. I have long ago come to the conclusion that Palestinian Arabs, their "leadership" at least, are not the least bit interested in a peace settlement. The destruction of the State of Israel is their founding and steadfast aim. Moreover, the rate at which these groups splinter and morph into new groups is not just astounding, but is indicative of the nature of the hot-headed-zealot personality types that make up their numbers. To quote (more or less) an impressive line from a play (written by Maria Campbell) I once attended, about the Metis people in Saskatchewan and their political factions: "They couldn't organize a bowel movement, let alone a political movement."
So, history continues to unfold, and if it isn't one damn "steaming pile" thing, it's another.
Oh. And good for Stephen Harper for standing on principle, rather than folding and going along to get along. Here we have statesmanship, not "bowel movement" organizing, as the CBC and the NDP would like to have it.

Israeli Warning to Flotilla Fleabags
Go here. Select May 31, 2010 and 1:00 PM. Charles Adler's program begins after a five minute news and weather report. Adler broadcasts the warning Israeli Naval personnel (he says US in one place, but I don't think that's correct) gives to the flotilla, which includes details on how the humanitarian supplies will be delivered. The crew and passengers, of course, are defiant.
This morning we hear another attempt to break through the blockade will be attempted later this week.
Humanitarian mission, my ass. This was theatre, using humanitarian supplies as props! Very Hamasesque.
Do any of you idiot leftards out there know that Egypt also has a blockade against Gaza?
From Sweetness and Light:

From Sweetness and Light:
"In fact, Gaza borders both Israel and Egypt. So the friends of Hamas could deliver their “aid” through Egypt by land, which would be more much more convenient and efficient. There's a reason I lost interest in the Palestinian "cause" about a quarter of a century ago. This kind of nonsense just never ends. And it won't, until enablers like those who organized this scam no longer exist, which isn't likely to happen. Palestinians. Everybody's favourite toy.
But for some reason the Egyptians won’t allow that, either. And the Pro-Hamas activists don’t want to force the issue with them.
By the way, control of sea and air access to Gaza was granted to Israel as part of the Oslo Accords — the crowning diplomatic achievement of the Clinton administration. (And for which Mr. Arafat was given a Nobel Peace Prize.)"
