Leaving Tomorrow...

...for the Thanksgiving weekend. Going to S'toon Town, where my sister and her kids live, and I expect to get stuffed. This will likely be the last posting until Monday or Tuesday. All you Canucks out there, have a good weekend and remember to be grateful. And go ahead, eat too much.

To Be Grateful

...one only has to look around him/herself. Take the poster held aloft by this Wall Street protester. Why, it inspires me to make a posting about it! What more could I want?

"You have a right to remain silent, but I don't recommend it."  Me neither. I would say, open your mouth and incriminate yourself.

We should be grateful that Al Sharpton has found another group of useful idiots to exploit, and especially grateful that he preys on naive and useless American rather than Canadian trash, although we certainly do have our share of naive and useless trash, who I am sure will be protesting - until freeze up, then they'll go back into their public housing and work themselves into a lather about the fat capitalists and ordinary stiffs who's taxes and charitable donations pay for their digs and put food on their tables because they dropped out of school and have no marketable skills.

(Aside: I wonder what Al Sharpton is grateful for? That there are poor people that he can rant and rave about and sucker in via his radio show? After all, what would he do, if they weren't willing to lap it up and use it as an excuse for their pitiful lives.  Good video.)

I'm grateful for the Thanksgiving dinner I had yesterday evening, even though it wasn't a turkey. I'm grateful someone else cooked it.

I'm also grateful I didn't eat too much,... this time.

I got a message on my "wall" on Facebook from my daughter. She had taken her daughter (3 years and five months old) to the public library and got her a library card. Grand daughter signed out two books. Good thing to develop that habit at a young age. I'm grateful for that. I guess daughter knew that I would be, 'cause she let me know.

I could go on and on, but let me just put this up here. I'm grateful for blogs and the internet. It's given those who disagree with lefties a voice, after decades of suppression. I was just thinking yesterday about the first time I heard about blogs. It was on a CBC radio program. Some CBC staffer was interviewing a techie sort of person who, in turn, was demonstrating a well known blog - rabble.ca. Now tell me, is CBC not immersed in leftie ideology and do their staff not travel on that path?
