Civil war coming? This is what revolution looks like folks. It ain't pretty.
It ain't over until the fat lady sings. So, to hasten things along a bit, here she is:

I remember sitting in a big red tent on the desert next to the pyramids one evening way back in 1973 watching belly dancers perform. Hypnotic and haunting. I sure hope Egypt comes through this and with it's heritage intact.
On a related note. The blogger, Egyptian Sandmonkey, hasn't updated in a very long time. I sure hope he's okay and not rotting away in some hell-hole prison somewhere being subjected to regular rounds of brutal beatings. Habibi, I think of you often. Your revolution has taken a bad turn.
