AAAALLLLLRIIIIGHT!!!!

Canada’s Conservatives poised for decades of power in Ottawa, pollster’s book says

Brace yourselves for a lot of howling, whining and crying from the usual crowd. (I've been harbouring this secret theory that most political movements in Canada start in Saskatchewan. Maybe it's true!!)

You know, we spent the first 70 years as a nation under primarily Conservative governments, the next 70+ years under primarily Liberal Governments. Perhaps, 70 years is about what it takes for the pendulum to complete a trip.

Just the thought of the Liberals anointing Baby Trudeau only to see the party permanently incinerated is the stuff of pleasant dreams. I shall sleep well tonight.

OK, so when are we going to see some implementation of a conservative agenda, namely starting a rollback of insidious liberalism???

Sheesh! It has already started. Jason Kenney, for example, has really tightened up our immigration and citizenship rules.

They got rid of the long-gun registry and the Wheat Board.

They've stood up to Iran both with strong statements and cutting off diplomatic relations.

We're in a very strong fiscal position globally, unlike another nearby country I could name (ahem).

They've beefed up our armed forces, (although there's still a ways to go).

They are reforming our prison and judicial system, etc., etc.. You gotta remember they only got 35% (or thereabouts) of the popular vote, and if it weren't for the left of centre parties being split into four groups, they might not be governing. In any case, lefties are howling and whining and showing their true colours which is veeerrrrry entertaining. Give the Cons some time. It's gonna take a few years to get it all done.

In the meantime, we now have a right of centre television network that, unlike the CBC, isn't fawning all over the Liberals and the Dippers and telling us every day that global warming is happening and it's gonna lead to a disaster tomorrow.

Besides, some of the commentators on American blogs that I read seem to be very jealous and have sat up and taken notice, so get with the program!

Oh, and I forgot a couple of really important ones:

A bill to amend the Human Wrongs Act and restore free speech is working its way through the process and just recently, Brian Storseth (the MP who introduced the above named amendment) has announced his intention to introduce a bill to repeal the Indian Act. So, moving right along.
