This Man Looks...

...amazingly alert and rested. I'll betcha there's no sleeping in that household though.

Three little babies.

Chances are at least one of them is awake and crying at any given moment of the night or day. My experience with babies is that, unlike their parents, they can sleep through anything and they have no idea there is this thing called day and another thing called night.

They sure are cute, though.

Diaper bills must be horrendous, too.

"The ministry, however, refuses, saying the family can ease the risks by keeping windows closed, not bringing the infants for walks outside, and accepting the ministry’s offer to install a special furnace filter to help with the dust."

In other words, the family should abandon these basic facets of a normal life. That's a pretty arrogant, flippant response from the gov't.

Could be, but I have to wonder if his concern about the babies not sleeping is a bit of projection.

Most very young babies spend most of their time sleeping and only wake up when mom and/or dad have just fallen asleep. Never fails. It's amazing what they will sleep through.

That, and they wake up at 2:30 am and want to play and will cry until they get some attention.

They don't become diurnal animals until well into their first year of life, so worry about loss of sleep during the daylight hours seems to me to be more of an adult concern than one about the babies.

I have the utmost sympathy for parents of twins or triplets. I don't know when they (the parents) get any sleep. And if the little ones are colicky, it gets even worse.

And then you close your eyes and they are grown up with little ones of their own.
