Tories trim CBC budget

"The CBC will cost taxpayers $55 million less, if the federal government follows through with budget plans laid out Thursday.

That's a trim of about 5% of the state broadcaster's core funding spread out over three years."

...which brings us right up to the next election.

Could it be the big cut (ie. privatization) is scheduled to be a part of the Tory's election promises? I'm sure they've heard loud and clear what the citizenry think of our Grandmother's Corpse.
