A stubble jumper is a prairie farmer. I'm from Saskatchewan and my dad was a farmer, so the name is apt. "Redneck" needs no explanation. It's anyone who disagrees with a lunatic leftie. My blog is mostly about the Middle East but other issues also catch my eye and get me going. I monitor comments to keep out trolls and lunatic lefties. Anyone who is zealously anti-American and anti-democracy in the Middle East is NOT welcome.

Well the above story at the time I read it which was 3 minutes ago, never mentioned the shooter was a Muslim. Too early to state the obvious I guess.
Yup. I might have to retract my statement. I've read that it was some dude with a Spanish name who was involved with some sort of domestic dispute. It didn't give much detail. Perhaps his wife was stationed at Ft. Hood and was having an affair with one of the soldiers. Funny that I just assumed the killer would be Muslim. How could that be, now? Let me see. Hummmm.
Mind you, there have been reports of two shooters being involved, but there is doubt being cast on that.
This morning when I saw that the shooter committed suicide, I figured something is fishy with my jumping to the stereotypical conclusion that it was a Muslim and then, like you, I heard the Spanish sounding name. So I must eat my hat with a side order of crow. Join me.
I don't like crow.
But that reminds me of a story my dad used to tell. He was a twin and he and his twin brother used to dream up all sorts of crazy stunts. They once dared each other to eat raw crow eggs, so they did. One of the eggs even had a chick inside it. Yuk!
Apparently the second shooter was a cop, or something, and he was the one with a Muslim name, if I recall correctly, which is a big if.
Oh crap. Canuckguy, I accidentally deleted your comment rather than publishing it. Sorry. The bit about the second shooter was in the first few stories about this incident.
The cop was just doing his duty. But the media didn't get their story straight until the police corrected them. You know the media. They always get things right.
