Shoppers Drug Mart cans the Christmas music, temporarily
"Customers who walk into Shoppers Drug Mart stores across Canada this weekend will no longer hear the faint strains of Christmas music -- at least for now.This is how and why free enterprise works. Now, if we could just get the same response from the CBC. Of course, that won't happen until or unless it is privatized.
The pharmacy chain announced in a message on its Facebook page that it was suspending the playing of Christmas music in its stores ‘until further notice.”
That came after a barrage of complaints from customers who said the chain had begun playing the tunes entirely too soon."

Good Lord! Already?! Down here in the Great Satan, it's been customary for stores to not to start with the Christmas routine, including music, until after our Thanksgiving, the 4th Thursday of November.
Another Yankee tradition is that every year, the National Turkey Federation gives the President a live turkey for Thanksgiving. Since Reagan started the custom, the custom has been for the President to "pardon" the live bird. Now, if yours truly were President, I'd have the turkey killed in the usual fowl manner, and ship it to PETA headquarters, with my regards! :-)
