Who knows? Norse were a hardy bunch, used to cold. The question is why didn't they turn left... I mean south.
Then we'd have to refer to them as Souse, or something, and that wouldn't get them such a good press.
Arrrrrrgh!!
One of the best cartoons I've ever seen was of Hagar the Horrible trudging home, dragging his club behind him, looking tired and downtrodden and the caption read:
"Rape, pillage and plunder.
Rape, pillage and plunder.
Every day, it's the same thing."
I've tried many times to find that cartoon on the web, but, so far, nothing.
More than ever, we're learning the Vikings really got around
Arrrrrrrgh!!!
I thought I'd be your Hero and find that Hagar strip for you. Did a VERY extensive search and, sorry to say, couldn't find that particular strip (which I happen to remember also). :-(
Well, you are my hero for trying to find it. So take a bow. And don't forget to say:
Arrrrrgh!!
