Obviously, juries aren't as dense as some folks think. According to accounts in the media, the jury conscientiously reviewed the evidence and asked pertinent questions. Good on them.
It's not the juries that are the problem. It's the instructions given to juries from the bench and in some cases, judicial interpretation of the Charter.
I wasn't following this too closely, but when the news broke about some of the evidence that was deemed inadmissible due to police and/or judge error my blood started to boil.
One thing I did read was an account of Rafferty's brain-dead woman and how she attempted to take the blame. Her story was waaaaay not convincing. I guess she didn't fool the jury, either.
