I hope this is not the effect of global warming. Maybe rising temperatures have made the otherwise hostile arctic waters more pleasant and hospitable now. While increase in bio-diversity is certainly welcome, there is certainly a most pressing need for addressing global warming."

They've done themselves in with their own arguments. If temperatures are rising, which they likely are, in general(after all, we are no longer covered by a mile thick sheet of ice), we will eventually arrive at a time when our climate is lush and life is abundant. It temperatures are not rising, well, none of their dire "the sky is falling" predictions will come true. Then there's always the possibility that temperatures will fall and we could experience another "Little Ice Age". Anyway you look at it, it doesn't look good for the warmistas of the world. We may need to increase the supply of shrinks to help them deal with their disillusionment.
