No Way, Jose!!

Canada considers Guantanamo detainee transfer request
"A Canadian government source told AFP that Ottawa was considering the transfer only as a "diplomatic favor" to Washington.

"The US needs to get rid of this guy for their own reasons and they are bending over backwards to make that happen," the source said, adding that Washington offered to pay to fly him here and "bend a number of their own rules to make that happen."

Ottawa could impose conditions on Khadr's eventual release if he serves out the remainder of his sentence in Canada.

Otherwise, "in eight years he would be able to walk onto Canadian streets a free man, able to continue to associate with radicals and terrorists," the source said, outlining the stakes.

In Washington, State Department spokesman Mark Toner said that the United States hoped that Khadr would be able to move to Canada to advance President Barack Obama's elusive goal of closing the Guantanamo military camp."
Screw you, Obama.

Now, wouldn't a bullet on the battlefield have been preferable to all these years of BS about Khadr?

Of course, if the Green Beret team, whose medic Khadr killed, had "given him Regulation 5.56", they'd no doubt have ended up getting the Captain Semrau treatment from the Army.

We're a far cry from General George Patton's advice to his troops: "The purpose of war isn't to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his."

Ain't there some third party willing to take him?

Who, in their right mind would want to take him? Assorted leftards in Canada, of course, but they'll never be in a position to.

Well, a majority of people in Canada and Europe were thrilled about Obama, the most brilliant pres. candidate evah! They even gave him the Nobel Peace Prize, for not being George Bush.

Now, a lot of these non-thinking people are realizing they don't like many of the things that the most brilliant President evah is doing. One more Khadr in Canada, for example. They should have given the little b*st*rd "Regulation 5.56" on the battlefield but now we're stuck with the vermin. And, hey, he is a Canadian citizen...

Which reminds me of the Churchill quote to the effect that a 5 minute conversation with the average voter is enough to make one despair about democracy.

Buyer's Remorse, folks?

BTW, I kept my large John McCain button and wear it on occasion, going shopping, etc. I'm sometimes asked about it and respond that I didn't vote for Obama and want people to know it. A growing number of people -except most blacks, for whom Obama can do no wrong- are agreeing with me. We'll see in November...
