My Plan Today...

...was to take a day off. Somehow scanning the headlines for absurdities seemed kind of banal when held up against the solemn ceremonies being held in several places across North America, but this one is a heart-breaker, and you know how I am when it comes to heart-breakers:

'I love knowing you're a hero': Memorial service hears moving tribute by young boy, 9, to the 9/11 fireman dad he never met

It hasn't been a great last few days for little boys, but doesn't this little kid just show the resiliency of children? He must be made of the same stuff his father was.

God bless 'em. If my little Kaden and Logan were here, I'd be hugging them right now.
