Once-Mighty Britannia now virtually unarmed
"Britain's army is now smaller than at any time since the Boer War, its air force at 1914 levels and the Royal Navy as small as Henry VIII's. It's presented as sound strategic policy but, Canadians and Americans take note, it really came from the welfare state's intellectual, moral and fiscal bankruptcy."Britons needs to find their inner Alfred the Great, and help the Norwegians awaken their inner Cnut. And if that's not possible, then at least they should release their inner Virgin Queen.

I wonder what Elizabeth I, Britain's greatest monarch ever IMO, would have to say about this feckless irresponsibility by the British Establishment.
I know what Douglas MacArthur would say. Quote "Wars are caused by undefended wealth." Weakness invites aggression. Extreme weakness begs for it. That is why we're seeing the Islamists and their agenda being so successful in "Britainistan".
I know what I'd do if I were a young Briton. I'd emigrate. The US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand. Any of the Anglophone Democracies offers a better life, more opportunity, less state intrusiveness, much lower tax burden than does Formerly Great Britain.
A mighty and oppressive guilt trip has been laid upon the Brits. And by God, do they ever need to get over it.
