Unedited Dire Straits Song to Play on Tofino, Ucuelet Radio
An unedited version of the song was played repeatedly on Q104 (Halifax) for an hour Friday in protest of a recent decision by the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council.
Newspapers featured articles condemning the decision, thousands of Canadians have phoned their favourite radio station to protest and on and on. Looks like Canadians don't like this censorship business. I just wish we could get the CRTC defanged. But I frankly think the Harper government is toothless and cowardly.
