Good News!!

In 2007 the Pew research organization reported a decline of support for suicide bombing in the Muslim world. There were then only 102,876,651 Muslims who felt suicide bombing was often or sometimes acceptable, down from a previous survey in 2003. A more recent poll, conducted earlier this month, sites a further decline.

It's far from uniform, though.

"Another worrying figure showed a rise in Egypt in support of the belief that suicide bombing is often justifiable, rising from 15 percent last year, to 20 percent in the 2010 poll."

And even more in Lebanon.

I am sure we can all sleep more soundly in our beds tonight in the knowledge that there are now fewer than 102,876,651 Muslims in the world who support suicide bombing. Sleep tight.
