Cannon puts nuclear onus on Iran

"Foreign Minister Lawrence Cannon says there should be no conference on a nuclear-free Middle East until Iran has fully complied with its obligations to the UN’s nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency.And then there's Obama.
The comments, made Sunday, appear to be a show of support for Israel following a resolution Friday from members of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
The resolution, which emerged from a United Nations conference, singled out Israel and called for a 2012 conference on establishing a Middle East zone free of nuclear weapons. The document called on Israel to join the non-proliferation treaty and urged the country to open its facilities to inspection, but made no mention of Iran’s controversial nuclear program."

Harper's awesomeness at times like these do a lot to overcome some of his less conservative actions in recent times.
Unequivocal support, no back-room deals and no bowing.
The Harper Government support is just there, no conditions.

Harper is strong on the international file, but weak at home, primarily, IMHO, because our current parliament is a dud. Hope he gets a majority the next time, but with the Bloc Quebecois in the mix, that's rather doubtful.
