Iran has been meddling ever since the imposition of the theocracy in that country in 1979. Thirty years now! It would be like removing the kingpin. The structure will come crashing down, but what will follow? Still, I can't help but hope it will happen. One of the other kingpins has already been dealt with:

And so far the results look promising.
Time is of the essence.
