The Real Iraq Stands Up

Longtime loyal commenters and friends of Iraq are in a celebratory mood over at ITM (Iraq the Model). Not only have the Fadhil brothers just passed the four year milestone with their fabulous blog but the turnaround in Iraq is becoming more and more impossible to deny.

As usual, the comments are filled not just with great comments but with great links as well. One of the most frequently mentioned theme over the past couple of days was inspired by a link to this posting entitled "Come Home" by independent journalist Michael Yon on his Online Magazine. It is truly a beautiful statement about what we can expect once Iraq really gets on its feet. These are the Iraqis that I know.

Go read it and then join the party at ITM. God bless Iraq and God bless America. Oh, and George Bush, too.

Nice post Louise. ITM has certainly been a beacon hope all along hasn't it?

Noticed all the original great commenter's are still checking in?

Networking, connecting and contacting in a positive way all for the most honorable goal, fighting for freedom, democracy and common human decency all around the globe, really like places like ITM for that.

Democrats in America are getting desperate. Reid and Pelosi are urgently trying to disrupt clear and convincing progress in Iraq now by withholding funding for the war on terrorism in the Middle East, the birthplace of modern terror. These political desperados do not care that the lives of our great warriors could be jeopardized, victory for the West with defeat of our young men and women on the front lines is crucial to their vile thirst for power.

However, I do not believe they will be able to extinguish the candle of hope given to Iraqi's by the hard work put forth by those in the West. True bravos who have not wavered in the face of either the terrorist in combat or to the verbal and political attacks by debased cowards in the West who would rather lay bare their throats to the terrorists scimitar than support true Freedom.

Hi loiuse,

Just a response to the "banned one"

I played the 'game' many, many moons ago. (Jimmy Carter was president). I didn't get into the 'game' because of any particular talent...I've 'enjoyed' Northern Alaska courtesy of the USA...I think I had a habit of upsetting people and getting shipped off to the worst possible duty.

Along the way I met a lot of interesting people...some who regularly appear in the front pages of Newspapers..they were similarly disgraced by their impulsive actions ohh so long ago.

I left the game...was just way to complicated for a young man more interested in 'making babies' than controlling the world.

Ny babies are grown..2 are soldiers now.

My contact with the current gummit is limited to "Leave me the F alone"

The banned one...is a bit off his rocker.

Welcome Harley. No offense RG, but it was recognition of Harley that made me realize it was you. You're the only person I know who rides a horse backwards. ;-)
