Don't count your barrels before they're hatched...
We can confidently look forward to every eco-warrior group, the hard left Democrats and the California bureaucrats to fight this tooth and nail. The b*st*rds!
It'll take nothing less than a new, Republican administration to change things, to reverse the Obaminable decision against Keystone.
Fingers, eyes, legs, arms, every thing possible, crossed. November can't come soon enough.
You weren't aware of this? That is why China is here, opening offices n Toronto - to take part in the North American market opportunities in energy, among other things. That's from the horse's mouth: http://articles.marketwatch.com/2011-01-12/news/30948364_1_sovereign-wealth-fund-hong-kong-china
If you're interested, I'll tell you why your Alberta power rates are climbing - you're paying higher rates to finance power lines built by who owns them: SNC Lavalin, to ship power to the Pacific Northwest and California. That includes co-generated power from the "tar sands" and just about every pulp mill in Alberta, never mind ATCO or Transalta coal-fired plants.
Mel Knight, while he was our energy minister, sat on the PNWER (Pacific Northwest Economic Region) board and still does. That is also why Albertan's and the ROC fund CO2 sequestration projects in Alberta. That's the sop to the greenies outraged that "tar sands" and coal are contributing to Alberta's economy.
My advice to you is buy dividend paying stock in companies participating in these ventures. The dividends will help offset your power bills.
I do that with SHAW, BELL and Telus - to offset my cable telephone and internet bills, too. I earn around 6% on my money, somewhat better than leaving it in the bank.
In the midst of all that blah, blah, blah, only one thing jumps out: "I'll tell you why your Alberta power rates are climbing"
Umm. I don't live in Alberta. My power rates are not climbing.
If you're trying to be a salesman, I suggest you use a real name.
